Family Life Ministries

We all belong to a family and no matter who your family is made up of, we want to support you. The overarching aim of the Ottawa Adventist Church Family Life Ministries is to prepare families for Christ’s return.

The guiding principles of the Bible direct that Christians nurture the spiritual, physical, intellectual, emotional and social needs of the individuals, couples and families who constitute the fabric of fellowship in the church. When the church ministers to the needs of families as Christ did, they are restored to wholeness. Families who feel complete, and have harmonious relationships, are more likely to be dedicated to God’s goals (Colossians 2:10).

The Ottawa Adventist Church Family Life Ministries is working along with the pastoral team and the elders to ensure that our members are visited or contacted as needed. If you require or know someone who needs visitation, please contact us, and you will be visited or called by the pastor or the elders on duty for the month.

  6. To improve their understanding of what makes families strong.

Among its multifaceted features, the Club provides a meaningful and exciting experience as the children look forward with anticipation to some day being Pathfinders.

Youth/Young Adults Ministries

If you want to hang out, have fun, discuss important life issues while keeping a spiritual focus, this is the place to be!

The Ottawa Adventist Youth Ministries is committed to providing support and encouragement to the youth and young adults 16 to 40 years old by:

  • coordinating Youth Emphasis Days (YEDs) the second Sabbath of each month to train the youth in church leadership; and
  • hosting Adventist Youth (AY) programs regularly on Sabbath afternoons to close the Sabbath;
  • organizing social activities, including the annual winter gala for the Boys’ and Girls’ Club.

Youth Ministries provides support and encouragement for young people at what can be a most critical part of their Christian experience. The ministry aims to rejuvenate and motivate the youth to learn how to walk closer to God. Through activities listed above and more, we hope to inspire the youth to live righteously and uprightly during their every day lives. The Ottawa Adventist Youth Ministries understands that having a Christ-like conduct is not limited to church life; therefore, we want to encourage the youth to daily walk with God in order to be able to draw others closer to Him.

In line with the Seventh-day Adventist Church Manual, the main objectives of the Ottawa Adventist Church Youth Ministries are to:

  1. Train the youth to work for other youth;
  2. Recruit the youth to help their church; and
  3. Work for those who are not of our faith.
