Our Pastors
Our church is blessed with two youthful pastors: senior pastor, R. Orlando Pule; and associate pastor, Kevin Magdamo.

R. ORLANDO PULE
Senior Pastor
Robert Orlando Pule was born and raised in New Zealand. His family is a blend of Samoan and Tongan heritage, which are islands part of the Polynesian culture in the South Pacific.
Orlando felt the distinct call to ministry early on in high school and at the age of 16 he made plans to study theology after graduating. His parents had always emphasized the importance of serving Christ and sharing the gospel; the whole family sang in a music group called the ‘New Life Singers,’ traveling in the South Pacific, New Zealand, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Hawaii and Los Angeles with their music ministry.
Orlando pursued his Bachelor's of Theology degree in Fiji (1993-1995) at Fulton College, and in Papua New Guinea (1996) at Pacific Adventist University. Upon completing his studies he was called by the Samoa Mission to undertake four churches at the age of 20. Even though he did not know fully how to speak the Samoan language he still went having faith that God was going to work it out, and God did just that. For the next five years he pastored four churches in American Samoa under the South Pacific Division - Samoan Mission. During this time he was involved in diverse evangelistic meetings, working with our schools and growing the Adventist ministry. Although the ministry was thriving in American Samoa, Orlando wanted to continue his education and applied to take his Master’s of Divinity at Andrews University.

In December 2003 he received his Master’s of Divinity from the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University in Michigan. Upon his MDiv completion he joined the Seventh-day Adventist Language Institute in South Korea as a missionary teaching English and the Bible.
From the beginning of September 2005 Orlando served as the Assistant Pastor of the Immanuel Seventh-day Adventist Church. In November 2009 Orlando joined the Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church family and was the overseer of the Youth and Children’s program. He has had the advantage of being exposed to a myriad of cultures and churches. This has enabled him to bring a unique ministry to the churches he has worked with.
He married the former Elizabeth Rosete on July 3, 2005, at Willowdale Adventist Church. His wife, Elizabeth Pule, has worked as Youth Pastor of the Willowdale Seventh-day Adventist Church and most recently as Chaplain for Crawford Adventist Academy, in Toronto, Canada.
There is no question that Orlando has a heart for Christ and will continue to give his life in ministry. He is happy to involve his wife and sons to share the gospel message just as his family did when he was young. God has opened many doors for Orlando to be here in Ottawa and he cannot deny the call to serve in ministry.
